Discrimination And The Practices Of The Racism â⬠Free Samples
Question: Discuss about the Discrimination And The Practices Of The Racism. Answer: A brief overview Modernization has led to the rise of many reforms that is based on the requirements of the people adhering to the change. The changes is been brought about in the social structure considering the psychological factors and the factors that limits the scope of the advancements made by the community. The modern approach to feminism is characterized by the hypothesis of the inequalities faced by the females since the ages. Patriarchy is a concept of feminism, which emphasizes on the domination of the male over the female. It might be due the psychological imbalances or the social structure that enforced the women to stay locked up in their homes to perform the household duties without being paid. It is perhaps an egocentric approach of the male. Discrimination is the major factor that affects the lives of the females. Feminism is a reform that is being undertaken in order to free the females from the constraint factors that binds them in a male dominated social structure. The discussion that follows portrays the problems faced by the women due to the discrimination and the practices of the racism. The deprivation that the females faced for the decades is an important consideration for undertaking the analysis (Ascher, 2012). The typical mental setup of the male inhabitants literally kept the women locked away from the society. Their indulgence in the social structure and their contribution in building a better society is being negated. The feminists struggled long way after they got their right of the equality. Equality and fraternity is an important consideration that is being considered by the feminists. The articles that is being provided discusses the involvement of the female power in order to change the social structure. The report aims at discussing the issues that are being faced by the feminists in order to avoid the discrimination in the sexes. The sexuality and the discrimination have led to different malpractices. Racism is another important factor that is being discussed in the articles provided. The issues relating to the racism is an important consideration that must be monitored and addressed by the governments. The predominance of male over female is the age-old criteria, which were questioned in the year 1960 through the reform movement. The report aims at the understanding of the flaws in the concept of society and the pervert structure that resides within the depth of the social structure. Issues not covered in the discussion Feminism is a global concern in the modernized world where the discrimination off the sexes is not being undertaken in order to support the ca use of the sustainability of the society. According to Caroline Ramazanoglu, the involvement of the females in the social structure brought about a change in the society although the male dominated society never acknowledged the positive change (Ramazanoglu, 2012). The issues that are being faced by the gender in the workplace or the psychological imbalance that the male inherits from the ages have been a restricting factor in feminism. The pervert mentality of the males have resulted to the discrimination that the society faced and thereby the women. On the other hand, racism has been another important aspect that is being discussed in the articles provided. The discrimination in the sexuality often leads to radical racism. The fundamental idea of limiting the power in the hands of the dominating males is an important consideration that feminism aims at revising. The concepts of gender inequality and the major factors relating to the issues are being addressed through the articles (Thompson, 2016). The most important point that the articles did miss is based on the fundamentals of the feminism and the changes that are being brought about by the concepts of feminism in the modern world. The modernization of the world has perceived several changes. the imbalance that is being perceived due to the unequal treatments met out to the people based on their sexuality is being revised and modified in the years of change. Racism is again another factor that is contradicting the feminists approach. The discrimination between the white and the blacks within the same gender is again a social discrepancy that the community faces largely (Otiniano Verissimo et al., 2014). The issues are being widely discussed in the articles that are being provided. The authoritative power and control over the political structure in the hands of the male candidates clearly portrays the discrimination. The question is, by what means are the female incapable in order to control the political power. It is the basic question asked by the feminists in order to understand the incapability, which justifies that the women should remain locked up in their houses. Contradictions and complexities The oppression that is being faced by the women, for the ages based on their gender and race is the basic objective of the reform that is being undertaken by the women all around the world. The contradictions and the oppressions to the reform were faced from the side of the male community as the power seemed to pass away from their hands. According to Crymble the quality of living in the society did improve with the approaches of feminism but the opposite sex never supported the growth of the feminist in order to retain the power they control (Crymble, 2012). Dominating over the emotions and the psychology of the females is a mental setup which made the male community ardent about the passage of power. The difference that is being brought about by the nations in empowering the women workforce is an important step that justifies the reform of the 1960. The views of feminism directly contradicted with the views of the opposite sex. The contradiction that is being faced by the approach of feminism must be well knit in order to justify the incapability of the women over the men. The basic contradiction that is being faced in accordance to the gender discrimination and the differences in the race results to the acquisition of power and control over the society. Therefore, psychology of the male, being egocentric never desires to be oppressed by the females (Harris et al., 2012). Concepts of Nation, Power and Difference The concepts of the nation relating to the facts of the discrimination in the gender are an important phenomenon. The authoritative control of the governments in the hands of the male candidates is again an issue that is being faced in many nations in the modern days (Williams et al., 2012). The modernization of the world have brought about changes, but at certain point of times the discrimination that is being undertaken in order to dominate over the women reflects the typically pervert mentality of the male. The government is enumerating steps in many parts of the world where the women workforce is being encouraged and empowered. According to Thompson, various nations have already accepted the change of power, voluntarily, and felt the difference thereof. Gender equality in the workplace and equal employment opportunities are the factors that are being undertaken by the countries that have accepted feminism (Krieger, 2012). Countries like Norway, Canada, Britain and the like believ es in the equal representation of the people irrespective of the race or the gender. Therefore, the differences that are brought about by the nations are huge. Woman empowerment of the female is a major step that is being planned by the countries in order to boost the workforce and the sustainability of the females. The concepts of differentiating between the genders and thereby maintaining the stereotype of upholding the integrity of the male is based on their egocentric behavior. There are nations where the patriarchal governance plays a major role in the management of the political powers. The male candidates of the society are dominating over the social structure and therefore a monotonous and decentralized structure can be observed (McNay, 2013). Moreover, the differences in the racism practices within the same sex are a consideration that must be monitored in this context. The important consideration that must be taken in order to meet the challenges is to undermine the activities that might lead to the racism. The differentiation of the black and the whites among the feminists structure contradicts its age-old principles. The most important step that the nations undertake in order to make sure that the differences does not occur within the borders of the community helps in enabling the pe ople to prohibit the practices of racism and sexual discrimination (Sokoloff, 2014). The nations believe in the capability of the individuals, irrespective of the race or the sex to which the individual belongs. It helps ion making the workforce diverse and therefore helps in making desirable improvements in the structure. Self Reflection I previously perceived no as such strong consideration of feminism nor had any strong stance about the gender inequality. The inequality in fact never bothered me prior to this course as I can count myself one of the individuals who enjoyed the racist joke. This course has changed my vision as I see the world from a different perspective after the completion of the course. The course taught me the long history of the struggle and protest that took birth in the United States of America in early nineteenth century. The women used to face many restriction and loss of power after marriage. They used to lose their property right and even the right of pursuing higher education. The gender discrimination was present at all level of society and was incorporated with race, class, and nation. However, the feminist activities and protest also showed a great level of racism incorporated within that slowed down the pace of the movements. The white women considered themselves superior to the coloured in the course a movement where they are claiming equality and never included the black in their cause, hence, creating a separate black feminism. The course provided an opportunity to think critically apply the knowledge to compare between the different ways people perceived the idea of feminism. I came to know its variation in the operation over multiple social, cultural, political and geographical locations. The perception of people around the world considerably varies as it evidenced different aspects of feminism. The course taught me the way feminism helps in shedding light on the way in which gender inequalities and other types of inequalities operates in my own everyday life and in the lives of the others. I now know that feminism is nothing related to women in the society and significantly varies from what I used to deduce earlier from the term. Feminism is all about power imbalance in the society. It can be between men and women or even between the class, race or religion. I can clearly evidence the unfair, unjust treatment the women used to receive in the past in comparison to their counterpart as it has considerably changed over time due to this early movements conducted by the activists of the past. I am not telling that the need of feminist activities has obsolete, but it has indeed significantly changed within the last few decades. The privileges that we are enjoying in todays world were like catching the falling stars with naked hand. Things such as voting rights or working in a non-traditional setting were not evidenced in that period. However, the need of feminist movement for achieving equality is very much required in this modern world. In fact, countries like Afganistan, Pakistan and many of the middle countries represent the suppression similar to the early western world. Women still lack a significant gap regarding the power and rights. While focusing on the western nations, I came to know about the parts where the women still requires achieving equality that are politics and army. There is a significant lack of representation in the politics. Even if someone manages to climb the ladder of success in the field of politics, they have to face more bashing and are belittled far greater than a man. Men do not face similar bashing and have an amount of advantage or privilege in this case. It further enlightened me with the knowledge that the women are not the only activists in the field and some men also take part in the movements and share the same ideology as the women activists. I now use my knowledge in everyday life treating people differently than earlier. References Ascher, J. (2012). Female entrepreneurshipAn appropriate response to gender discrimination. Crymble, S. B.
